The modern sustainability agenda means miners all around the globe are striving for environmentally-friendly practices so they can obtain the increasingly vital social license to operate. With an expected industry recovery, forecasted by BMI Research, companies are eager to undertake new projects. The zinc market gains relevance, but copper remains volatile. This week, Grupo México bet on its Peruvian copper projects with a significant investment to boost production.
