Mexico Mining Review, in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (CANCHAM), hosted an exclusive cocktail for mining clients on Wednesday, April 26 at IoS Offices in Torre Reforma.
The event was attended by high level guests, among them operators such as Jose Antonio Berlanga, Director General of Reyna Mining and CANCHAM’s recently appointed President, Armando Ortega, VP Latin America of New Gold.
Other notable appearances include Jesús Rodríguez Socorro, Oaxaca’s Minister of Economy, who presented a video about the state’s investment potential and the opportunities available in mining.
Irma Potes, Subdirector of Community Development at Grupo México gave a short presentation about sustainability in mining and the duty of miners to consider in greater detail the impact their sector has on the environment.
A third presentation was made by Harmen van Kamp, Global Sales Director for Global Air Cylinder Wheel (GACW), a company that has created innovative air suspension wheel for mining, forestry, agriculture, construction and the military. The technology promises tangible long-term cost savings for miners due to reduced wear and the decreased need to replace wheels on mining equipment.
