According to CAMIMEX, the estimate for 2014’s exploration investment in Mexico amounts to US$672 million, down from the US$862 million that was spent in 2013. This being said, in 2013, Mexico was still positioned as the fourth largest destination for nonferrous exploration investment with 6% of the world exploration budget being allocated to the country. This panel presents the perspectives of private and public sector leaders on the current state of exploration projects in Mexico. It will cover alternative financing and operating solutions to maintain competitive exploration projects despite market challenges and comment on the future of the exploration sector in Mexico.
